One of MATA's goals is to provide safe and secure public transportation on a daily basis. Reaching this goal requires an effort from everyone including employees, local law enforcement and customers. While riding on MATA vehicles, passengers should stay alert, be aware of emergency exits and listen to on-board announcements, especially in the event of an emergency.
MATA vehicles are equipped with tools that are designed to help increase the efficiency of service delivery and management capabilities. In addition, live stream video capabilities are also available through security cameras installed at the Transit Centers and on all buses and trolleys. On-site security guards are also available to monitor activity at MATA facilities located throughout the city.
