Inclement Weather Service Information for January 20 and January 21

Safety is our top priority during weather events that may create hazardous travel conditions. The Memphis Area Transit Authority (MATA) will operate as follows:

Saturday, January 20

  • The following Fixed Route services will operate on a Saturday service level. (8,11,36,39,40,42,50,52, and 53)
  • Groove On Demand service will operate.
  • Ready! On Demand services are suspended.
  • Trolley services are suspended.
  • MATAplus will only provide life-sustaining trips. 
  • Transit Centers will operate on a Saturday schedule.   
  • The Customer Service Line can be reached until 4:30 PM at 901-274-6282. 
  • Transportation to the warming center will be available and rides can be scheduled by calling 901-297-1680.

Sunday, January 21

  • The following Fixed Route services will operate on a Sunday service level. (8,11,36,39,40,42,50,52, and 53).
  • Groove On Demand service will operate. 
  • Trolley services are suspended. 
  • MATAplus services will operate.  
  • Transit Centers will operate on a Sunday schedule. 
  • Transportation to the warming center will be available and rides can be scheduled by calling 901-297-1680.

Customers will be informed about service updates via the MATA website, Omnilert automated messages, social media, as well as news media.
